On September 21, a federal judge ordered the United States Postal Service to undo detrimental changes ordered by Louis DeJoy.
By Friday, Judge Victor Marrero said in his ruling, the Postal Service must begin treating all election mail, including ballots, as first-class or priority mail; pre-approve all overtime requested from Oct. 26 to Nov. 6, the peak times for election mail; and submit a plan to restore on-time delivery of mail to its highest level this year…
[Judge] Bastian concluded that DeJoy’s cost-cutting changes were “an intentional effort on the part the current Administration to disrupt and challenge the legitimacy of upcoming local, state, and federal elections, especially given that 72% of the decommissioned high-speed mail sorting machines that were decommissioned were located in counties where Hillary Clinton receive the most votes in 2016.”

On Wednesday, USPS responds that that’s not possible. The 700+ mail sorting machines were already broken down for parts.
Mail delays began immediately after DeJoy took over on June 15. Soon after, he cut overtime for USPS workers and removed drop boxes and mail sorting machines. Then he lied to Congress.
