Sometime in 1971, William Barr, the future attorney general under Donald Trump, joins the Central Intelligence Agency.
Barr joins the CIA as a summer intern in 1971 and remains an intern until 1973. He is also in graduate school.
In 1973, Barr becomes an analyst in the Intelligence Directorate division of the CIA for two years while in law school.
He remains in the CIA as an assistant in the Office of Legislative Counsel and an agency liaison to Congress from 1975 to 1977.
