In another unhinged post on Truth Social, Donald Trump took a swipe at Tesla protestors declaring that they should be sent to a “slave prison” in El Salvador.
Trump mused on his social-media site that protestors could be transferred to “the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for lovely conditions.”
Last week, Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which is “a law allowing for the immediate deportation of anyone suspected of connections to a terrorist organization. This is the first time in U.S. history that the law has been invoked without Congress declaring a war.” A federal judge promptly issued a temporary restraining order to block the action.
For its part, the Department of Justice under Trump recently promised “severe” punishment for anyone caught protesting Elon Musk‘s dismantling of democracy via “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE).
