Donald Trump calls Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, and tries to scare and threaten him if he doesn’t magically find at least 11,780 votes to swing the election to him. Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and lawyers are also on the call.
The call consists of Trump spewing multiple conspiracy theories about the Georgia election while Raffensperger and his lawyer try to explain that the conspiracies aren’t true. Trump also claims “we won every state” and 5,000 “dead people voted.”
Then the threats start coming.
And the people of Georgia are angry, the people of the country are angry. And there’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, um, that you’ve recalculated… You know what they did and you’re not reporting it. That’s a criminal, that’s a criminal offense. And you can’t let that happen. That’s a big risk to you and to Ryan, your lawyer… When you talk about no [fraud], I think it’s very dangerous for you to say that… You would be respected, really respected, if this thing could be straightened out before the election.
Donald J. Trump
The election already happened. Georgia found no fraud after a recount and an investigation.
