Donald Trump was seen outside of the White House with a large amount of makeup covering his right hand, leading many to raise questions about his health. This isn’t an uncommon practice for Trump, however the makeup he wore on this occasion is a much lighter color than his actual skin, making it incredibly noticeable.
The White House has attempted to write it off as a bruise from shaking too many hands, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt saying “President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history.” The bruise was most likely caused by chronic venous insufficiency, a medical condition Trump was diagnosed with the month before.
