On June 30, Trump announced on Truth Social that he was releasing new Trump Fragrances called “Victory 45-47.”
Trump Fragrances are here. They’re called “Victory 45-47” because they’re all about Winning, Strength, and Success [sic] — For men and women. Get yourself a bottle, and don’t forget to get one for your loved ones too. Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!
Trump on Truth Social
Trump’s new perfume scam is tied to his sneaker scam, as the former may be purchased under the GetTrumpSneakers.com webpage. While the Trump Fragrance website does say that Trump himself and The Trump Organization are not directly connected to Trump Fragrances, there is a catch.
The perfumes are sold via 45Footwear LLC, which uses Trump’s image under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC. Trump is the manager, president, secretary, and treasurer of CIC Ventures, “according to his recent financial disclosure…” 45Footwear is headquartered in Wyoming, which is not an accident. That state does not require businesses to disclose the name of the owner to the public.
As a whole, Trump’s business assets are under the control of the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, which is controlled by his son and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, Donald Trump Jr. However, Trump has not divested from the trust, and can still legally profit from it and modify it according to his needs.
The pricing is exorbitant:
Victory 45-47 costs a whopping $249 for 3.3 fluid ounces. Roughly the same quantity of Chanel No. 5 retails for $176.
The Intercept
This is not the first time that Trump peddled fragrances. In a morbid instance, he sold a “Fight, Fight, Fight” cologne commemorating the assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania, which did result in one of his supporters getting killed by the would-be assassin.
