On September 29, Dar Global announced that it would create a Trump Plaza in the major Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah in collaboration with the Trump Organization, which is controlled by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
It follows the launch of the Trump Tower in Jeddah during December 2024. The new Trump plaza includes “residences, serviced apartments, office space and townhouses.” Dar Global and the Trump Organization are also cooperating on two projects to be established in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital.
Dar Global is just a segment of Saudi developer Dar Al Arkan, which has $7.5 billion worth of projects worldwide.
This is yet another example of the line between American foreign policy and Trump’s business interests being blurred. Trump never formally divested from the Trump Organization as of the time of this writing. Trump’s lucrative dealings in Saudi Arabia have given him reason to prioritize the country in his foreign policy, making it his first major foreign trip of his second term.
