A Department of Defense webpage honoring a U.S. Army general who was awarded the country’s highest military decoration was taken down and replaced with a 404 error page.

The next day, this message appeared on the webpage: “The page you are looking for might have been moved, renamed, or may be temporarily unavailable.”

In addition, the URL was also reworded. The word “medal” was changed to “deimedal”, with DEI referring to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Rogers, who was black and died in 1990, was awarded the Medal of Honor twenty years earlier for his service in the Vietnam War.
