Donald Trump takes to Twitter to claim Russia isn’t behind the SolarWinds hack and cyber espionage campaign, going against his own State Department and intelligence agencies.
“The Cyber Hack is far greater in the Fake News Media than in actuality. I have been fully briefed and everything is well under control,” Trump wrote. “Russia, Russia, Russia is the priority chant when anything happens because Lamestream is, for mostly financial reasons, petrified of discussing the possibility that it may be China (it may!).”

He also claims that the culprit could have hit voting machines during the election, adding one more conspiracy to the mountain of other excuses for his election loss.
At the time of this file’s last update, breaches have been found at Homeland Security, the Pentagon, and the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, State, and Treasury. Reports can only verify that the hackers are monitoring email communications within those departments.
