The National Republican Senatorial Committee, a national organization dedicated to electing Republicans to the Senate, presents Donald Trump with an award they created just this year. (It also doubles as a soup bowl and an ashtray.)
According to a press release, the NRSC’s Champion for Freedom Award “is presented to conservative leaders who have worked tirelessly to create good jobs, protect the values that make our country great, and stop the Democrats’ socialist agenda.”
Trump took credit for “creating jobs” as employers began opening up following COVID-related temporary shutdowns and layoffs. Trump protected the values that “make our country great” by sending his supporters to the Capitol to subvert the democracy that is the foundation of this country. He and his supporters failed to subvert democracy or stop the Democrats’ so-called “socialist agenda.”
As president, Donald Trump delivered for the American people by appointing three pro-Constitution judges to the Supreme Court, cutting taxes for middle-class families and job creators, and securing the border.
Sen. Rick Scott, chairman for the NRSC, presents Trump with the award on Sunday. Also on Sunday, Trump golfs with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
