Ali Akbar a.k.a. Ali Alexander claims that he’s working with three GOP members of Congress to plan a “loud war” at the Capitol on January 6. Alexander is the creator of the “Stop The Steal” movement, which rallied Trump’s base to go after voting centers and public officials after the November election.

I was the person who came up with the January 6th idea, with [Rep. Paul] Gosar, [Rep.] Mo brooks, and then [Rep.] Andy Biggs. We four schemed up putting maximum pressure on Congress while they were voting so that, who we couldn’t lobby, we could change the hearts and the minds of Republicans who were in that body, hearing our loud war from outside.

The confession is made during a live video stream.

Following the Capitol attack on January 6, Alexander is banned from Twitter and claims he shouldn’t be blamed for what happened. The congressmen claim not to know Alexander despite multiple events they participated in and weeks of letting Alexander describe their connections in public and online.

Alexander also boasted in December about his allegiance with the Arizona Republican Party, where Biggs and Gosar are from. The party’s Twitter account praised Alexander in multiple now-deleted tweets.

“Stop the Steal” is the brainchild of Ali Alexander, a former Tea Party activist turned Trump superfan with nearly 140,000 Twitter followers. In September, Alexander announced plans to dispatch protesters to disputed ballot counting sites after Election Day. Alexander and other MAGA personalities had pulled a similar stunt in Florida in the 2018 midterms.

This next tweet suggests that Alexander was coordinating the Capitol event with people inside the Defense Department or the White House. It’s a screenshot from a call Ali took part in on December 22. Hopefully more information will be available soon.
