Sometime in April, Russia’s Internet Research Agency forms “the translator project” to work on U.S. election interference efforts.
The Internet Research Agency had a graphics department, a data analysis department, an SEO department, an IT department and a finance department — a fake news version of what a real newsroom would look like.

The same month, Mikhail Ivanovich Bystrov takes over leadership.
The Agency was founded in June 2013 and funded by the company Concord Management and Consulting.
Several Russian media outlets have claimed that the agency is funded by Evgeny Prigozhin, an oligarch restaurateur called “the Kremlin’s chef” in the independent press for his lucrative government contracts and his close relationship with Putin. When a reporter from the opposition paper Novaya Gazeta infiltrated the agency posing as a job seeker, she discovered that one of the team leaders was an employee of Prigozhin’s Concord holding company.
