Roger Stone appears with leaders of the Proud Boys militia for a demonstration ahead of the next day’s Stop The Steal event in DC. One of the members states that they are Stone’s security.
Proud Boys leaders Enrique Tarrio and Ethan Nordean (a.k.a. Rufio Panman) can be seen with Stone.
Stone gives brief remarks standing beside Nordean, who appears to have his hand on Stone’s shoulder. “We will fight to the bitter end for an honest count of the 2020 election. Never give up, never quit, never surrender, and fight for America!” Stone tells the crowd.
Two weeks later, Stone starts fundraising for security at the Capitol for that week. Prosecutors allege that, around this time, Nordean and Tarrio are planning an invasion of the Capitol on January 6. At the time of this writing, Stone has yet to be included in these allegations.
Tarrio is arrested shortly after entering Washington two days before the insurrection, but Nordean is inside the Capitol building during the insurrection.
Stone admitted to working with the Proud Boys in court in February 2019.
