On June 25, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) Jr. hired Lyn Redwood to an unknown position in Health and Human Services.
Her first job is to lie about the supposed dangers of thimerosal, a preservative only used in four percent of flue vaccines and no childhood shots as of 2001. Even then, it is overwhelmingly safe. She will be lying to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which RFK gutted on June 9. Redwood cited a report in her presentation to ACIP that does not exist.
“To the best of my knowledge, the study in rats referred to in the planned CDC presentation by Lyn Redwood listing Berman RF as first author does not exist,” Robert F Berman, Ph.D., professor emeritus at the University of California Davis, said.

This is also not the first time that she lied about thimerosal. Without evidence, she blamed her son’s affliction with autism to alleged mercury exposure that resulted from a vaccine with thimerosal.
The decision to hire Redwood presents a potential conflict of interest. Redwood worked for RFK’s presidential campaign during the 2024 election. Redwood also helped radicalize RFK into believing anti-vaccine pseudoscience in the early 2000s when she “coordinated” a “stalking crusade” by anti-vaccine mothers. She also served as president of RFK’s Children’s Health Defense, which acted as Kennedy’s initial mechanism to deprive children of life-saving vaccines.
