Religious group pays unexplainable $400,000 to Trump hotel

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), which is affiliated with the Council for National Policy, pays $397,602 to Trump International Hotel (DC). The cost doesn’t add up to its purpose.

BGEA’s World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians lasts for four days in Washington, D.C., but the organization only uses the hotel for one event.

The total cost of a similar event held at the Trump hotel by the Kuwaiti government was $40,000 to $60,000, according to Reuters.

Whatever unfolds at the hotel is unknown; security guards are positioned to stop reporters from entering.

The previous day, Vice President Mike Pence spoke at another event for the BGEA summit. That event took place at a different location, and media was allowed.

What was the nearly $400,000 payment really for?
