On December 19, the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) gave the green light for Nvidia to take a $5 billion in Intel. The two companies also intend to cooperate on nascent technology as they relate to “data centers and PCs.”
Despite Trump’s promises to onshore some manufacturing, the two companies did not confirm whether Intel or Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) would produce the new chips.
The FTC’s decision to approve the deal reeks of corruption.
Trump owns $500,000 to one million dollars in Nvidia stock, indicating a conflict of interest. Trump has allowed the United Arab Emirates, which he has extensive dealings with, (UAE) to import some of Nvidia’s most advanced chips. Trump’s United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) enabled Nvidia to purchase a $5 billion stake in Intel; Trump’s administration bought a ten percent stake in Intel. Huang has funded Trump’s White House ballroom.
