Nancy Pelosi announces that the House of Representatives has launched an impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump on the basis that he may have betrayed his oath of office and the nation’s security by pressuring a foreign nation to investigate Americans for political gain.
Trump responds in a series of tweets, labeling the impeachment inquiry, quote, “PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT” and “Witch Hunt garbage.”
Congress has still not received the whistleblower complaint.
