Folks, it’s the founder of Trump File. I personally write these emails only when the subject matter is more urgent and significant than usual. Unfortunately, that is the case today.
The LGBTQ+ community in the United States, which makes up 9.3% of American adults, is seeing rapidly increasing social persecution. Soon, it WILL escalate to criminal prosecution.
While these developments have been overshadowed by the chaos of the daily news, the signs are undeniable. In fact, they’re coming at us non-stop.
The most vile and threatening news in that list is even worse than you might think.
The Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) has a policy that prohibits the agency’s intelligence unit from investigating Americans solely for their race, ethnicity, gender, religion… The list goes on.
But two weeks ago, that policy changed. Now, agents can open an investigation into ANYONE simply for being gay or trans.
We know for a fact that this isn’t another empty fear tactic or part of the GOP’s “flood the zone with shit” strategy. The DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis actually tried to avoid this becoming national news.
Rather than announcing that LGBTQ+ Americans could be investigated for existing, they secretly went in to the old manual, removed the sexual orientation and gender identity clause from the list of protections, and hit save.
They didn’t even bother to change the date on the document, which was released during Biden’s term, before sharing the updated policy manual with employees.
This onslaught of policy changes — both in government and among private companies facing pressure from the Trump administration — affects us personally.
Almost half of our team members identify as LGBTQ+ or have a child who does. But I know they are not alone. I also know what’s coming.
You and your loved ones need to know, too.
Last year, a man was fined for posting a photo of a pride flag on his social media. That same week, a woman was imprisoned for five days for wearing frog-shaped earings that just happened to be rainbow.
Both of these stories took place in Russia, where homosexuality is illegal and rainbows were banned 15 months ago for being “symbols of an extremist organization.”
Without any evidence that gay or trans people threaten the safety of families, societies, or governments, Russia’s Supreme Court labeled the LGBTQ+ movement an extremist group.
Under Russian criminal law, participating in or financing the LGBTQ+ movement is punishable by up to 12 years in prison. If suspected of involvement, authorities can add the suspect to the national “list of extremists” and freeze their bank accounts.

Project 2025 promised to reverse same-sex marriage and parental rights while reshaping societal norms through federal legislation and policy changes.
Whether it’s DEI, women’s sports, predators in bathrooms, or the coveted “protecting Christian heritage,” their excuses for this are a useful distraction while they fundamentally alter the institutions tasked with protecting our democracy and preserving every American’s constitutional rights, regardless of sex, gender, or ideology.
The question isn’t if they will accomplish their goal, but when.
The DHS policy change happening now — when the DOJ and FCC are targeting mega-corporations for “DEI,” HHS is removing medical information pertaining to minority groups, and even Hollywood studios are taking efforts to scale back pro-LGBT content — sends a clear message to those of us who already knew about the state of affairs in Russia.
It’s a warning that similar prosecutions of gender and sexual minorities in the United States isn’t a mere possibility. It’s the plan, it’s rolling out now, and the corporate giants are already subservient to the oppressors.
If you live in a GOP-controlled state and are a member of the LGBTQ+ community (or have children who are), I am urging you to leave as soon as physically and financially possible. Find the nearest state with a governor who will make an effort to protect you.
I am converting this message for all of our social media accounts. Find our links here to share the posts, and please pitch in to support the team if you can.
Every dollar raised in the next 24 hours will go towards boosting this message to more LGBTQ+ Americans on social media — until Meta bans the ad for relating to sexual orientation and gender identity.
Never backing down or giving up,
The Founder at Trump File
