On July 25, the top lawyer for the National Security Agency (NSA), April Falcon Doss, was terminated from her position.
The firing stems from a July 23 article from far-right website the Daily Wire. Laura Loomer, commonly described as a conspiracy theorist, then amplified a social media post that used the article as a source.
The social media post in question contained a host of conspiracy theories, such as de-banking, the Deep State, and the supposed innocence of Michael Flynn, who is a criminal, and Carter Page.
No reason has been given for the firing of Doss as of the time of this writing. However, an official admitted that Loomer had a role in the firing.
This is not the first time that Loomer wielded excise strength as a “mere” advisor to Trump. She is responsible for the firing of two other NSA officials, using disinformation as a justification. She was also responsible for Jared Isaacman losing his bid to become NASA’s administrator, causing a rift between Elon Musk and Trump.
