South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem visits Mar-a-Lago for a re-election fundraiser hosted by Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle. Tickets start at $1,000. For $4,000, attendees get access to a private roundtable discussion and photo-op with the trio.

Noem has some shared history with the couple: She spoke at Trump’s July 4 event last year at South Dakota’s Mount Rushmore, which Guilfoyle had to skip because she tested positive for Covid-19 right beforehand. Financial disclosure forms made public last month revealed that Noem memorialized the occasion by giving Trump a $1,100 replica of Mt. Rushmore featuring his own face on the monument.

Noem appears in a photo with Donald Trump during the event. It’s unclear if the two talked or only posed for the photo, but reporting from Metro suggests Trump is considering her as a potential running mate for 2024.

Obtained from The Truth Gazette on Twitter

We learned about the event when Rudy Giuliani’s Trump-Ukraine associate Lev Parnas received an invitation. Parnas tweeted the photo on February 25 with the caption “Unbelievable—just got an invite to Mar-A-Lago. If I showed up do you think Donald would still pretend not to know me?”

Noem’s recent speech at CPAC in addition to her dismissal of COVID-19 deaths in South Dakota earned her the title of the “deadlier, more delusional alternative to Trump.”
