The chief “hatchet woman” for Trump’s merry band of xenophobes’ profoundly unpopular—and largely illegal—mass-deportation schemes is out. Kristi Lynn Noem, fired by Truth Social fiat, was unaware of the development while in the midst of a lie-filled speech.
According to the aforementioned Truth Social post, MarkWayne Mullin will take over as DHS secretary. Noem is being moved—laterally, one would assume—to something called “Envoy for The Shield of the Americas,” which is, as of this writing, a division of the State Department. (Subject to change, of course, because changing stuff on a dime is how Trump operates.)

Because no Republican operative can even come close to telling the truth publicly, anonymous sources told NBC that the firing came after a “culmination” of “leadership failures.”
Trump spoke to Noem about the job switch Thursday afternoon, according to two peoplefamiliar with the conversation. Noem is traveling outside Washington. An administration official told NBC News that Trump decided to fire Noem because of ‘a culmination of her many unfortunate leadership failures including the fallout in Minnesota, the ad campaign, the allegations of infidelity, the mismanagement of her staff, and her constant feuding with the heads of other agencies, including CBP and ICE.’
The official added: ‘Kristi’s drama sadly overshadowed and distracted from the Administration’s extremely popular immigration agenda, which will continue full force.’

Plenty of corrupt/incompetent incidents predate her firing, including reports that Noem illegally failed to report dark-money income; ending deportation protections for Afghan allies who helped us in conflict zones; and of course vacating an already-fancy D.C. condo for an even nicer waterfront property that is supposed to be reserved for top-military brass.

But just to correct the record after I was forced to include the anonymous gaslighting from one of Donny’s spokespeople: Adam Schiff is credibly accusing the regime of firing Notorious Kristi Lynn for fingering Trump in public testimony.
Donald is on a crusade to unblame himself for any failures ever and “unlose” the 2020 election—won fair and square by Joe Biden—so it feels quite truthy to suggest the famously insecure area man from Queens could not tolerate one of his chosen operatives claiming he knew of, and approved, her penchant for corrupt self-promotion.
