The second child of Donald and Ivana Trump, Ivanka Trump, is born.

Ivanka attends the Chapin School in Manhattan. When she’s 15, she switches to Choate Rosemary Hall, a boarding school in Connecticut. She later compares her second school to a prison.

I was all of a sudden in the prison of boarding-school life, and all my friends in New York were having fun.

It’s unclear why Ivanka transfers schools, but her attitude might play a role. She admits in an interview with Marie Claire that her mom threatened to put her up for adoption when she was young.

The transfer could also be related to her modeling career.
