In May, Uzbekistan dictator Islam Karimov orders the military to attack and kill protesters of the country’s unjust imprisonment of Muslims. More than 700 people are murdered, and journalists and activists flee the country for survival. The attack backfires and gains international attention, so to justify their arrests, the Uzbek government creates a fake terrorist group called Akromiya and claims anyone they arrested were part of it. 15 years later, we’d see the same thing start to happen in the US with ANTIFA.
