Donald Trump announced that Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani pledged $20 billion to “support massive new data centers across the Midwest, the Sun Belt area, and also to keep America on the cutting edge of technology and artificial intelligence.” The “first phase” of the investment will be focused towards data centers in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas. Sajwani said that it was an “honor” to work with Trump, and that he hopes to invest even more if possible.
