A U.S. agency led by anti-vax agitator Robert F. Kennedy Jr. sent a memo to staff, in response to a missive from Elon Musk, directing them to ignore his demands. If Heath and Human Services employees choose to engage or reply, the message asserted, they should assume it will be viewed by “malign foreign actors.” From Allan Smith at NBC News:
Department of Health and Human Services sent agency employees an email Monday afternoon warning them that any responses to Elon Musk’s request that they share their accomplishments from the past week might ‘be read by malign foreign actors.’ Four HHS employees shared the email with NBC News.
HHS’ foreboding reply to Musk came amidst existing chaos caused previously by “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) and Office of Personnel Management, which had sent a Musk-authored “prove yourselves to me” message to federal employees.
The email comes after days of confusion following an email that was blasted out across the federal government on Saturday by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. It followed a Musk tweet that said ‘all federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week. Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.’
Trump expressed delight over Elon Musk’s actions stating, falsely, that “We have people that don’t show up to work and nobody even knows if they work for the government,” Trump said, adding “There was a lot of genius in sending it.”
AUTHOR FOOTNOTE
There is no “genius” in any part of Elmo’s petulant demands. As a reporter and citizen I’ve been watching this transnational-mob crap for a decade now and, even after being jaded within an inch of my life, I still can’t believe our news media is unwilling to type up stories that match the truth: “foreign malign actors” are the point of Donald’s operation.
They are running “Ukraine peace talks.” They are running Elon. They are running the CIA with Tulsi Gabbard as a proxy. Malign actors are the point, not a “incidental boogeyman” about which HHS must warn staffers. (I’m still glad to see strong language used.)
Also, notice the word choice: the HHS message didn’t say (as it was reported by NBC) “might be” read or “could be”—it stated, clear as a bell, that you should “assume what you write will be read” by foreign actors. Other agencies inside Donald’s House of Cards responded in similar fashion—even Kash Patel‘s FBI—so the story here is that his weirdo operatives are all in conflict with each other.

After living through 2017-2021, we already know dysfunction (which further humiliates American democracy, by the way) is the point.
