In our Parler deep dive, we explain the social network’s roots to figures in Russia’s government. The website has returned from last week’s shutdown with even stronger ties to Russia.
The revival of Parler comes with brand new DDoS protection to prevent future hacks. The service providing Parler with DDoS protection is located in Russia.

Around the same time that Amazon Web Services ended its hosting, Parler found out how weak their security was. The entire website / app was downloaded and made public, including deleted posts and private messages. That’s why the company needs DDoS protection moving forward.
But the only reason that protection is coming from Russia is because, as we already knew, Parler is a joint effort between GOP donors and the Kremlin.
