In a confidential report reviewed by Reuters, a German ambassador to the United States stated that Donald Trump will consolidate power by subjugating law enforcement and Congress—while giving Big Tech “co-governing power.” From the Sabine Siebold and Friederike Heine-bylined story:
Germany’s ambassador to the United States has warned that the incoming Trump administration will rob U.S. law enforcement and the media of their independence and hand big tech companies ‘co-governing power,’ according to a confidential document seen by Reuters. The briefing document, dated Jan. 14 and signed by Ambassador Andreas Michaelis, describes Donald Trump’s agenda for his second White House term as one of ‘maximum disruption’ that will bring about ‘a redefinition of the constitutional order – maximum concentration of power with the president at the expense of Congress and the federal states.’
We at TrumpFile repeatedly warned of this outcome, with stories that echo ambassador Andreas Michaelis’ blunt assessments. Trump’s repeated (and false) repudiations of Project 2025, for example, portended this moment of American history in which a convicted felon is now working to bend U.S. institutions to his will.
The article continued: “Asked to explain the ambassador’s stance on Trump on German public broadcaster ZDF, Baerbock said Michaelis was merely doing his job and that Trump had openly stated much of his agenda. The outgoing government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz has largely refrained from direct public criticism of Trump since the election, but the ambassador’s confidential assessment offers a blunt view from a senior German official.”
AUTHOR FOOTNOTE
For the record, we also did quite a bit of reporting on Big Tech goons like Elon Musk and Pete Thiel (who, according to reports, hand-selected J.D. Vance as Trump’s running mate) being welcomed by Trump inside his inner-circle mafia. As German ambassador’s assessment stated, those Silicon Valley weirdos are now operating, at least for now, as co-equal branch of government—an anathema to democracy. (This observer thinks the backstabbing will commence in, oh I dunno, 6 months-ish from now… perhaps sooner.)
After Elmo launched AmericaPAC, the data-grabbing, dodgy entity that collected a bunch of BigTech-GOP benefactors under one roof (and after Trump admitted Leon helped him steal Pennsylvania by “knowing the vote-counting computers,” whatever that means) it was only a matter of time until the “President Musk” memes kicked in.
