Kashyap “Kash” Patel, a former aide to Devin Nunes who mysteriously became a National Security Council staffer in February, speaks at length to Rudy Giuliani.
The call raises alarms for a variety of reasons. For one, John Bolton informed all employees of national security not to speak to Rudy Giuliani.
Second, Giuliani and Nunes are currently working with foreign actors in Ukraine. Patel’s role at the NSC is directly related to international organizations like the United Nations.
Later on, Bolton aide Fiona Hill testifies to Congress that Patel is so ingrained in Ukraine discussions at the White House that Donald Trump “thought Patel was in charge of Ukraine matters at the NSC.” The actual person in charge of Ukraine matters is Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman.
As a result of Fiona Hill’s testimony, many concur that Patel seems to be delivering Ukraine info to Donald Trump himself.
In February 2020, Patel becomes a top adviser at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) where the Trump administration hopes he can “clean house” of Intelligence agents who aren’t loyal to Trump.
Before 2019, Patel was most known for working to discredit both the Mueller report and various government institutions on behalf of Donald Trump.
