In an email to KT McFarland, his deputy national security adviser, Michael Flynn cautions against meeting with Paul Manafort before Donald Trump is in office. His reason: it’s “unknown who he is working for and perception would not be good.”
Manafort emailed McFarland earlier in the day asking for a meeting.
“I have some important information I want to share that I picked up on my travels over the last month,” Manafort wrote.
McFarland was unsure how to respond, which prompted her to email her new boss.
