In an email to Thorbjorn Jagland, head of the Council of Europe and former prime minister of Norway, Jeffrey Epstein asks Jagland to reach out to Putin for him and offers some insight on Donald Trump.
Epstein: I think you might suggest to Putin that Lavrov can get insight on talking to me. Vitaly Churkin used to, but he died.
Jagland: I’ll meet Lavrov’s assistant on Monday and suggest. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Epstein: Churkin was great. He understood Trump after our conversations. It is not complex. He must be seen to get something. It’s that simple.
Vitaly Churkin was involved in the planning of Trump’s first trip to Moscow in 1987, when he was allegedly recruited by the KGB. He later became Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, a position he used to advocate for Trump’s campaign in 2016. He died in February 2017, and Trump’s State Department blocked the release of his autopsy results.
Sergey Lavrov is Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Before this conversation leaked on November 12, 2025, we were unaware of Epstein’s involvement in Trump and Churkin’s relationship.
