Donald Trump visits Alamo, Texas, a city named after the San Antonio mission where Texans fought (and lost) against Mexican forces for independence in 1836. It’s his first public appearance since inciting the attack on the Capitol a week ago.

The trip is promoted as Trump visiting his border wall, which was never really built.

In the end, his administration has overseen the construction of roughly 450 miles of border wall construction — likely reaching 475 miles by Inauguration Day. The vast majority of that wall replaces smaller barriers that had already existed.

Trump spent some of his speech warning Congress and the incoming Joe Biden administration against removing him from office early.

The 25th Amendment is of zero risk to me but will come back to haunt Joe Biden and the Biden administration. As the expression goes, be careful what you wish for.

Officials in Alamo were given no prior notification of Trump’s visit, leading some to believe that Trump’s own staff thought they were visiting San Antonio, where the Battle of the Alamo actually happened.

I’m sure someone else told him to go there because, as you know as well as I do, Donald knows absolutely nothing about American history. But I’m sure once he was told what the symbolism was, he thought it was a good idea. I guess whoever informed him about the Alamo didn’t tell him how it ended. He is indeed going there to make a stand of one kind or another… This is going to continue to get worse because Donald will continue to stir this up.
