U.S. Marshals shoot and kill a Black Lives Matter / anti-fascism protester at Donald Trump’s request. The protester, Michael Forest Reinoehl, had a warrant out for his arrest after shooting a member of a white nationalist group, allegedly in self defense.
Speaking to FOX News on September 12, Trump says that he ordered the Marshals to “go get him.”
The U.S. Marshals killed him. And I will tell you something: That’s the way it has to be.

A month later, Trump further confesses to the execution, saying “We sent in the U.S. Marshals. It took 15 minutes, it was over. 15 minutes, we got him. They knew who he was. They didn’t want to arrest him, and 15 minutes, that ended.”
Initially, Trump and law enforcement claim a shootout occurred that resulted in Reinoehl’s death. Sometimes they say he shot himself. Eyewitnesses say Reinoehl was unarmed and walking to his car with a phone in one hand and gummy worms in the other when police opened fire without warning. The coroner’s office sides with eyewitnesses.
The Thurston County Coroner’s Office ruled Reinoehl’s death a homicide Wednesday, confirming the Antifa supporter did not turn his own gun on himself in the police ambush.

An autopsy revealed he died from multiple shots to his head and torso.
Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock said it is still not clear how many times Reinoehl was shot by officers but all the bullets recovered from his body have been sent to a lab for analysis.
