Donald Trump is sent to hospital for ‘a series of mini-strokes’

Donald Trump makes an unscheduled visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, which he later claims was for the first half of an annual physical. (Physicals are never done in two parts).

But in 2020…

On September 1, 2020, responding to allegations in a new book by Michael Schmidt, Trump makes a Freudian slip by accusing the “fake news” of lying about his “series of mini-strokes” in a tweet.

Neither Schmidt nor the media mentioned strokes before Trump’s tweet. The only allegation about the hospital visit was that Vice President Mike Pence was put on standby to take over as president.

“So the president is denying something that no one has actually reported – that he had a series of mini-strokes,” New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman said on Twitter.

In another tweet, Trump claims he was at Walter Reed to complete his annual physical. This contradicts his original claim that the visit was to begin the physical.
