Speaking in Wilmington, North Carolina, Donald Trump tells his supporters they should vote twice: once with a mail-in ballot and once in person.
Let ’em send it in, and let ’em go vote, and if their system’s as good as they say it is, then obviously they won’t be able to vote… Send in your ballots, send ’em in strong… You send ’em in, but you go to vote, and if they haven’t counted it, you can vote.
Donald J. Trump
He probably doesn’t realize this, but he commits a felony and tells his supporters to commit one, too.
Donald Trump is not only suggesting that voters commit a crime, because it is a crime to willfully go and try to vote twice. Donald Trump committed a crime. Donald Trump was in North Carolina when he said this, and in North Carolina it is a felony for, quote, ‘any person with intent to commit a fraud to register or vote at more than one precinct or more than one time, or to induce another to do so.’ … Suggesting to other people that they do it is also a crime.

Note: We do not find it at all surprising that Trump would suggest this. It’s not the craziest thing he’s said in his Russia-backed attempts to fear monger about mail-in voting. We’ve added it to the site simply because he unknowingly committed a felony, one of many laws he’s gotten away with breaking during his presidency.
