Donald Trump releases a “statement on preventing Muslim immigration” on his campaign website, calling for a complete shutdown of Muslim people entering the country until we “figure out what is going on.”

The statement is removed from the website on November 10, 2016, two days after Trump becomes president-elect. The campaign restores the webpage when reporters try to figure out what is going on.
Then it disappears again.
On May 8, 2017, reporters asked press secretary Sean Spicer about the statement. Within minutes, the text was gone from the website, although the URL and the rest of the page were still there. Within 24 hours, that URL (and all other pages containing Trump’s statements) gives a 404 error.
