Cy Vance is paid to drop fraud charges against Don Jr. and Ivanka Trump

The Trump Timeline:

Sometime in August, date unknown, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance drops charges against Don Jr. and Ivanka Trump for falsifying the value of Trump SoHo condos, after being paid off by Trump attorney Marc Kasowitz a few months before.

Vance had already accepted a $25,000 donation before dropping the charges. Afterwards, he refunded the donation to prevent speculation. Later, he accepted a $50,000 donation from Kasowitz.

Kasowitz subsequently boasted to colleagues about representing the Trump children, according to two people. He said that the case was “really dangerous,” one person said, and that it was “amazing I got them off.” (Kasowitz denied making such a statement.)

In 2017, when asked about this convenient second donation, Vance says he will refund the donation to prevent speculation… We do not have record of him following through on that.
