On Elon Musk‘s X (formerly Twitter), chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell shared a Russia Today bulletin that stated, falsely, Trump is “taking back Panama Canal from malign Chinese influence.” Parnell apparently reversed his repost roughly 30 minutes after boosting it.
In 2017, RT America was forced to file according to Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), a law enacted in 1938 to counter Nazi propaganda. And in 2024, President Biden‘s Department of Justice unveiled “sprawling allegations” of malign influence against Kremlin-backed Tenet Media.

What a difference a few months make. Last year, Biden’s DOJ ran Tenet Media through the meat grinder and today? That same transnational-influence op is now all but folded in with official “American” (in scare quotes because it’s really all the Kremlin) messaging.
Kremlin and the White House sound like identical operations because, in all the important ways, they are.
And I hope all of 2024’s “Genocide Joe” folks—particularly as they watch Donald’s extra-judicial abduction and apparent torture of legal residents of America, like Kilmar Abrego Garcia—have a better grasp of the colossal mistake they made. Will their opinions finally shift after we learn some of those innocent souls illegally sent to the El Salvadoran slave prison have been unalived?
Paid spokes-liar Karoline Leavitt declared from the podium that Donald is considering deportations of American citizens next, which does remind, at least to this listener’s ear, of Putin’s unashamed genocidal op in Ukraine. All actions since Donald “took office” are in service to and/or inspired by Vladimir, including (but not limited to) salting the earth for future cyberattacks.
