Congress is informed that William Barr’s Justice Department and Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire have agreed that the Trump-Ukraine whistleblower complaint does not qualify as a matter worth their attention.
Jason Klitenic, counsel for the ODNI, sends a letter to Congress and Intelligence Community I.G. Michael Atkinson informing them of the decision. In response, the House Intelligence Committee issues a subpoena for the complaint and any communications between Maguire, the DOJ, and the White House related to the complaint.
