Sometime in 1992, Michael Caputo, a former member of the Reagan administration involved in foreign affairs, joins the George H.W. Bush campaign for president. He will later go on to work for the Kremlin and Russian government, by his own admission, before working for Donald Trump.
Caputo was director of media services for the Bush-Quayle campaign in 1992 and was assistant director of the Radio and Television Correspondents Gallery for the House of Representatives before that. But since then, Caputo’s activity has been limited to public relations, and much of it involved Russia. The Daily Beast
